February Wrap Up | All The Books, Writing Projects and Fandom News.

February was a sloooow reading month. I read only 11 books. *hangs head in shame* Truth was I was to busy writing to read much. Here's all the books I read!

1) The Raven Boys, books 1 and 2 by Maggie Steifvater. I've rated each book a 4 stars on Goodreads, because I like/love this series. I'm not crazy about it, but I like it. You know? I'm kinda on the fence about it. 4/5 stars for both books.

2) Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. OMGS I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was the YA equivalent of the Wheel of Time for me. 5/5 stars. I did a review for it here: http://lifeofamirkwoodelf.blogspot.ca/2016/02/truthwitch-by-susan-dennard-book-review.html

3) The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski. I loved this book even more than the first one! THAT CLIFF HANGER THO. 5/5 stars.

4) The Iron Trial by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black. I love Cassandra Clare's books(as of yet, I have only read TMI, but still) which is why I picked this book up. I have heard tons of different oppinions from different people, the most popular of which is that it copies Harry Potter. I do not share that opinion. The two series, while they have similarities, are basically very different. Definitely 5/5 stars.

5) The Only Pirate At The Party by Lindsey Stirling and Brooke S. Passey. I love Lindsey Stirling. She's one of my favorite music artists, and so of course I had to buy her book! This book was so funny and entertaining, that even if you aren't a fan, you'll love it. 5/5 stars. I did a review for it here: http://lifeofamirkwoodelf.blogspot.ca/2016/02/the-only-pirate-at-party-my-crazy.html

6) Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard. This book was so different in atmosphere from Red Queen. It was also slow to build up...but that finale tho....it killed me. It also killed some characters....5/5 stars. I did a review for it here:http://lifeofamirkwoodelf.blogspot.ca/2016/02/glass-sword-by-victoria-aveyard-book.html

7) Harry Potter book 4. I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SERIES. 5/5 stars.

8) Specials by Scott Westerfield. I finally finished this series! I cried, I'm won't lie to you. It was a wonderful conclusion to a wonderful series( because I will not be reading Extras as I heard it was awful) 5/5 stars

9) Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. As a writer of fanfiction myself, I totally understood and sympathized with Cath. This was honestly the best book I read this month, and I love it to bits. I can't believe it took me so long to get to this book! 5/5 stars.

10) Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. Honestly, this book was slightly, just slightly disappointing. I liked it, and really enjoyed it, but I wasn't crazy over it. The ending really hooked me, though, so I will definitely be picking up book two when it comes out! 4/5 stars.

AND NOW FOR ALL THE WRITING PROJECTS:

Sci-fi novel: Well I'm 5, 296 words into editing the first draft(I'm having to re-write about half of it, and that doesn't include editing the second half, and then editing the re-write) HELP.

Gearbound: I'm 839 words into the first draft(I'll only be doing one draft for Gearbound) I said I was 5 chapters in, and I was. But I felt the chapters were too short, so I condensed them into three chapters.

Anti-hero story: I felt inspired to write a story about a sarcastic, 18 year old. Canadian, female mercenary heist assassin named Finn. Idk why, but I'm 3,474 words in, and I love where this story is headed. I already have the ending planned out, and I cried when I thought of it because death and sadness and explosions and guns and stuff. It's pretty brutal. It also has a very attractive guy called Red in it, because I am of the belief that every YA novel needs an attractive male in it for all us fangirls to fangirl over.

High fantasy story: I've been working on this high fantasy book forever, and its changed so much since I've started it. I'm like 10,000 words into editing it.

FANDOM NEWS:
-CARMILLA IS GETTING A SEASON 3. AND IT'S THE FINAL SEASON GUYS. HELP. I'M NOT READY FOR CARMILLA TO END ASDFGHJKL.
- Ren: The Girl With The Mark comes out tomorrow! I wonder if the episodes will be regular length, or the 5 minute max that all web shows follow. I hope that they are regular length, because I need as much of it as possible lol.
-Amy Lee released all her covers so far in an ep called Recover: Vol.1. YAY! She hasn't released her Speak To Me video yet, even though it was supposed to be out by now.
-Cimorelli announced their first full length album, Up At Night! I NEED THIS NOW PLEASE.

So yeah. That was February. What was your favorite book that you read this month? What are your word counts for your writing projects? What is the most exciting thing you can't wait for in one of your fandoms? Tell me below!!!!!!(also sorry I wasn't able to stick some gifs in here. This post was written as fast as possible)

Elly The Mechanimal Dragon | Gearbound Update 3

So Lynna has a pet mechanimal dragon called Elly, which she made herself. Originally, Elly was going to be a lizard, then a mischievous monkey, and finally a dragon. And then I realized that Elly was so awesome that she was given the power to talk, which means now she is a mechanimal talking dragon who is awesome and the three S's:
Sarcastic, Sassy and Silly.

I've had so much fun writing her. She the easiest character to write, and also the most interesting. This is what she looks like:

She's around the size of a rather large parrot (so that she can sit on Lynna's shoulder.) Just take away the weird helmet head and replace with a normal looking dragon head and you'll get Elly.

Here's another song from the music playlist:

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard Book Review | ALL THE PAIN.

                                                  *SCREAMS*
MAVEN YOU EFFING ORC HOW DARE YOU. YOU ARE LITERALLY THE MOST EVIL VILLAIN EVER.
Hi and welcome to my probably horrible review of the wonderful heart wrenching book that is Glass Sword. Sorry this review is so late. I pre ordered the book with the intention of reading it right away(which I did) and then reviewing right away(which I didn't). Because I'm feeling lazy, I'm going to do this in list form and then a spoiler section, but first, pictures!

THINGS I LOVED:
- CAL CAL CAL CAL. I didn't like him very much in RQ, because, like everybody else, I shipped Mare with Maven. But now that that ship is absolutely sunk, I ship her with Cal. Besides, Cal was so awesome it was basically impossible NOT to like him in Glass Sword.
-Mare's power. Her power over lightning got stronger and stronger in GS.
-The newbloods' powers. THE NEW NEWBLOODS HAD SO MANY AWESOME POWERS THAT I WISH I HAD.
-The atmosphere of GS was so different from RQ. In RQ, we are mainly surrounded by Silvers, and we mostly visit Silver places. In GS, it is completely the opposite. RQ was also a lot faster paced the whole way through, whereas GS was much slower, with really fast spots(THAT ENDING 0_o)
-A certain character death.

THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE
-A certain character death.
-The cliffhanger.

SPOILER SECTION. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

OK WHY THE EFF DID SHADE DIE? WHY. WHY WHY. HOW DARE YOU VICTORIA AVEYARD! JUST BECAUSE YOU KILLED THE ELARA AND ALL YOU FANS ARE HAPPY, DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET TO KILL SHADE TO MAKE THEM SAD.
No but in all honesty, Shade's death was so sad! I didn't cry, mostly because it happened so fast that I didn't even realise he was dead, and then I had to go back and re-read it a few times before I understood what my poor eyes were reading.
But I'm so glad Elara is dead. My prayers were answered lol.
ALSO. THAT CLIFFHANGER. I HATE MAVEN. I HATE HIM. UGH. Anyway, book 3 is going to be EPIC. What were your feelings on Glass Sword? Tell me below! aaaand now namarie creampuffs.

Playlists and Main Characters | Gearbound Update 2

First off I'd like to thank every single one of you all who read, commented and voted for  my Carmilla fanfic A New Threat To Silas University, and got it to 4k reads. I never thought that it'd even reach 1k reads and now look where it is :D Every single comment, vote and read means so much to me, and actually gives me courage and inspiration( e.g 'people actually like reading my stories! Therefore I shall continue to write stories and put them on Wattpad') to continue writing(and to eventually try and get my book published!) Now I know that sounded cheesy, but it's true!

ANYWAY ONTO THE UPDATE.

I've finally started writing Gearbound. I'm about five chapters in, (to be clear, so ya'll don't freak out and expect the story to be finished in the next week ;) )
Lynna's character  and personality is a very interesting one, so here is all the inside info on her:

As for the playlist, I'm still working on it. Here's the 'theme' song(for the Gearbound Academy of Inventors, Scientists, and Villains. It's also Lynna's theme song as it describes her personality and her randomness perfectly.)

And that's all for now! Namarie, my wonderful Creampuffs!

The Music Junkie Tag | ORIGINAL TAG

Ya'll know I am a music junkie......my youtube and Spotify are complete mazes of songs and playlists, with hundreds of songs, most of which I'll probably listen to only once 0_o
I was going to do a music recommendations post, but I thought a music rec tag would be funner(yes I know that's not a word. I don't care.)

1) What is your favorite song?
UGGHHHHH. My favorite song changes every week. Literally. I'll listen to one song over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, you get the point, until I can't stand the song anymore. Then I'll find another song.
BUT, my all time favorite song has to be Sweet Sacrifice by Evanescence.

2) How many playlists do you have on your Spotify?(or youtube, or iTunes or whatever you use)
I have 38 music playlists on Youtube, and 13 playlists on Spotify(most of which are over 100 songs long)

3) Favorite genre of music?
Sorry, but I don't have a favorite. I love them all.

4) Give us a list of all the bands and artists you listen to.
*deep breath* OK.
BANDS:
Evanescence
Elysion
Fall Out Boy
My Chemical Romance
Cimorelli
The Gardiner Sisters
Echosmith
The Civil Wars
Twenty One Pilots
Two Steps From Hell
Walk The Moon
Greenday
Paramore
Coldplay
Steam Powered Giraffe

Artists:
Lindsey Stirling
Adrian Von Ziegler
Ed Sheeran
Enya
T Swift
Megan Nichole
Demi Lovato
Halsey
Lorde
Taylor Davis

Soundtracks:
All LOTR/TH soundtracks
Brave
Wheel of Time
The Hunger Games
Divergent
The Maze Runner
The Fault In Our Stars
Aftermath(the War Story soundtrack made by Amy Lee)
And like fifty billion more that I can't remember.

5) What is a collaboration between two artists that you would die to make happen?
Taylor Swift and Lindsey Stirling. PLEASE. THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN. Also a collab between Twenty One Pilots and Halsey would be amazing.

6) What is the strangest style of music you have come across?
Troll metal. Honestly, these songs sound like an evil circus of crazy clowns formed a band and troll metal was the result. I love it. My favorite would be Ouch Time by Adrian Von Zeigler(he does a lot of troll metal songs).

7) If your life had a national anthem, what song would it be?
Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots, duh.

8) What type of fan are you?
I'm the type of fan who is too broke to buy any of the albums, singles, merch and stuff, so I show my love for these artists by making edits for them. One day, though, I'll buy ALL the music...just as soon as i have $1,000 dollars lying around randomly :/ I'm also that fan who will freak out if you dare to say anything mean about my favorite bands/artists.

9) Favorite band/artist?
Evanescence and Lindsey Stirling.

10) New release you are the most excited for?
Cimorelli's debut album, Up At Night! I NEED IT NOW. NOW. I AM SO EXCITED FOR IT.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this little tag! I tag anyone who wants to do it, but if you do, please include this picture at the top of your post:

The Only Pirate At The Party | My cRaZy FaNgIrLy Book Review

So awhile back Lindsey announced that if you bought her book through Changing Hands bookstore, for a limited time, you could get your book signed and personalized. Naturally, being a major Stirlingite, I did order it, and it just arrived the other day, and OMGS IT IS BEAUTIFUL I CAN'T EVEN. For the two seconds it took to write my name, Lindsey was aware of my existence. #MYLIFEISCOMPLETE

Amazing cover, no?

The blacked out part is my real name, which I am not allowed to put on the internet, according to my parents.

THE SPINE IS SO GORGEOUS.
This was literally the most positive, hilarious and fantastic memoir I have ever read. I couldn't stop laughing and smiling! Lindsey and Brooke did an amazing job writing it! I learned so many things about Lindsey's journey to becoming famous that I never knew before, so now I am a more knowledgeable fan XD
I adored the pics that were included in the book, as they really added to the whole story.
OMGS LOL PHELBA'S CHAPTER WAS PERFECTION, WAS IT NOT?!!!!! I think I'll reply to Phelba and tell her that I want to apply to be Lindsey's #2 fan :D
I loved how there were parts of the book which she wanted you to fill in with a pen or pencil, like:

'I love my ________________ because___________'

You were supposed to list things about your appearance that aren't necessarily nice, but you love anyway. I just thought that that was very cool, and it also was a way for the reader to really personalize the book for themselves.
All in all, I'd rate this book a 5/5 stars. Obviously.
Namarie!

Gearbound Update | All The Procrastination.

All right, I'll admit it. I've been procrastinating working on Gearbound for the past two weeks. I kept thinking:
'OH IT CAN WAIT', 'BUT I'M TRYING TO FINISH EDITING DRAFT 1 OF MY BOOK!', 'I AM READING BOOKS', 'I'M BLOGGING RN. NO TIME FOR GEARBOUND'.

But I finally got around to some plotting.

So, what do you guys think? I'm quite proud of this. Also, would you guys like me to create a playlist for Gearbound? I don't do storyboards, but I do playlists....so yeah :D
Namarie!

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard | Book Review

Raise you hand if you had no idea that Tor Fantasy had a teen division, and that the teen division has better covers than the adult division.

No but honestly, let's compare some covers:
                   Here's the Truthwitch cover.

Here's a Wheel of Time cover from the adult division.

..............Yeah. Tor Fantasy needs to change the WoT covers. Maybe I'll do a whole post about book covers sometime in the future...
ANYWAY
Now apart from both series being published by Tor Fantasy, I found similarities between the two. I hate comparing series, especially as it can ruin a book. However, these similarities, in this instance, were a very good thing!
The first one(and the most obvious) is that the 'witches' are very, very similar to the Aes Sedai(also called witches by the Children of the Light. I hate those guys) The way magic operates and everything gave me an Aes Sedai feel.
The second one that stood out the most to me, was how the different countries interacted with each other. In WoT, everything is very politically driven, right down to the way you eat your food. Literally. Thankfully things weren't as extreme as that in Truthwitch(which frankly made the book easier to read)
The next one is that the Windwitches are basically Wind Mistresses, yeah?

All right, enough with the similarities. But if you are a WoT fan, and you want a book that's like WoT, this book is definitely for you.
I loved this book. The plot was so well done, the fight scenes, while they had magic, were more than believable, which for me is a very important thing. If a book's fight scenes aren't believable, it takes away from my enjoyment of the book. The characters were all so different and well fleshed out. Each had such a very different personality and way of talking, so that the moment the P.O.V changed, I didn't even need to see who was narrating, because I knew who it was immediately.
The writing was really great too.
One thing I do have to critic is Safiya's drawling. So Safi is a very sarcastic character, and Susan made Safi's sarcastic lines even better by saying 'drawled Safi'. This was really funny and awesome at first. But after the first 5 times it wasn't as awesome anymore, because Safi drawled EVERYTHING. I think that the drawling should have been kept to a minimum, in order to make it funnier.
Other than that I don't really have any more criticism.  So yeah. Go read it! You will adore this book.

Editing,Scrivener, Wattpad, February To Do List | The Existential Crisis

So I recently posted the final chapter of my Carmilla fanfic. I feel like an era has just ended. I'd been working on this fanfic for so long that I felt lost without having another chapter to write, and suddenly I had no idea what to do.

WHAT DO I PUT ON WATTPAD NOW? SOMETHING ORIGINAL? ANOTHER FANFIC?
IF I DO AN ORIGINAL STORY, WHICH ONE OF MY PRECIOUS CHILDREN(read = writing projects) DO I SACRIFICE TO WATTPAD?!

      *CUE EXISTENTIAL CRISIS*

Sorry I just had to use that gif.

Why thank you for asking! This crisis has been resolved, thankfully, as of yesterday. I've decided to sacrifice write this steampunk project that has been stewing in my brain for quite awhile. It's called Gearbound, and here is the fabulous cover I mad for it:

ISN'T IT JUST BEAUTIFUL?! IMAGINE IF THIS WAS A REAL COVER FOR A REAL BOOK THAT CAN BE PUT ON YOUR SHELF....*sighs*
Just in case your wondering, I made the cover on picmonkey.

Anyway, I can't tell you anymore than that right now, but hopefully I'll start writing it soon. This time around, I'm going to write the WHOLE things first, and then do weekly uploads of chapters onto Wattpad....because we all know how frightfully long it took me to write chapters for my Carmilla fanfic. Sometimes there were like 3 months between chapters!

*hides in shame*
I feel like I need Scrivener. But I just can't be bothered with shelling out the 50 bucks to buy it. Or to take the time to learn it....The thing is, editing in a word doc is the freaking hardest thing ever. UGHHH.

So to those of you who have Scrivener, IS IT WORTH BUYING?! PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW!

Anyway, February is going to be crazy busy. Here's a list of all the things I hope to accomplish in the cold and dreary month of February:

-create a Scarlet Guard(Red Queen) RPG on G+.
-Finally get around to RPing in the two RPG communities I belong too.
-Get a Tarvalon.net account.
-Reach the halfway mark for book editing.
-review five books(HELP!!!!!!!!!!!)
-Mockingjay pt 2 review(this one needs to happen)
-Start working on Gearbound.
-Finally become a Dark Lord and rule Middle-earth.(This is, naturally the most important)

February is going to be hell. Help.

Beautiful People meme/linkup Valentine's Edition | ALL THE SHIPS

So I decided to participate in this month's Beautiful People meme hosted by Cait from http://paperfury.com/ and Sky from http://www.furtherupfurtherin.net/ because this month's questions are to do with shipping...and we all know I ship so many characters(in books and from my own writing) that I might as well be effing UPS.

   I pretty much have no
more sanity left from
all the broken ships.

HAHAHA I can't talk about blowing holes in ships....I've gotten to the point where I'm blowing holes in my own ships.

I will go down with my ships. Including the ships that I built
and then sunk, because, remember, killing characters off is my favorite pastime.

Anyway, here are the questions:
1. How did they first meet?
In a marching drill when they were 10. She fell tripped and sprained her ankle, and he helped when no one else would.

2. What were their first impressions of each other?
"OMGS HE SOO NICE FOR HELPING ME. ALSO, HE IS CUTE."
"SHE'S SO PRETTY."

3.How long have they been a couple?
Actually they aren't a couple yet. YET.

4.How committed/loyal are they to each other? Would they break up over a secret or a disagreement? Could stress drive them apart? Would they die for each other?
They are more than loyal to each other:  they share what in my world is called a 'comrade bond' which means they always know where the other person is, how their feeling, whether or not their hurt, and they know what the other person will do next. Well...I'm not sure. Maybe. Depending on how big the secret/disagreement was. Stress would never drive them apart, because their always there for the other person. Actually...*laughs and evil laugh* HAHAHAHA funny that question should come up. Yes they would die for each other.

5. List 5 “food quirks” they know about each other. (Ex: how they take their coffee, if they’re allergic to something, etc….and feel free to mention other non-food quirks!)
Since food doesn't play  a big part in my book because they go hungry a lot, I'll list some other quirks.  Some quirks they do have, is that she never trusts anyone, and he trusts everybody.

6.Does anyone disapprove of their relationship?
Basically everyone who knows he has feelings for her disapproves.

7.What would be an ideal date?
Sitting in the mess hall eating ice-cream. They like low key stuff.

8. What are their personality dynamics? Similar? Contrasting? Do they fight a lot or mesh perfectly?
Her personality is very insecure. She has no memory of her childhood, gets depressed etc. Whereas he is confidant, sure of himself and is a cheerful person. So I guess they balance each other out. She is very dependant on him, because she's so broken.

9.What have been their best and worst moments together as a couple?
If I tell you that, I'd be spoiling my book! ;)

10. Where do they see themselves and their relationship in the next few years?
DEAD
I told you I blow holes in my own ships!

Here's the link to the meme on Cait's blog: http://paperfury.com/beautiful-people-15/

            Happy shipping everybody!

Janurary Wrap Up | 2016

ASDFGHJKL I CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE ALREADY 32 DAYS INTO THE NEW YEAR. *checks pockets* WHERE DID TIME GO? DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TIME WENT?!
*clears throat* ANYWAY this month I read a grand total of 21 books! YAY!! Shall we get started? 'Cause this is going to be a long post.

-The Sleeper and the Spindle by Neil Gaimon, illustrated by Chris Riddell. This was a fantastic start to my 2016 reading year. The story was awesome, I loved the writing style, the cover was beautiful, and the illustrations were just the icing on the cake! 5/5 stars

- Snuff by Terry Pratchett. UGH so this book started off good, and then got worse and worse and worse. Don't get me wrong, I love Terry Prattchet's books. I have read a number of them, and all of them were really awesome...but this one just didn't do it for me. 2/5 stars.

-Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I loved this book! I adored it, it was amazing and such a cool twist on the story of Cinderella. Now I'm just waiting for the library to finally bring in the second book, Scarlet. 5/5 stars.

-The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski. I really enjoyed this book! It was a very refreshing read. I'm waiting until the last book comes out to continue this trilogy, however, because I've heard that the cliff hanger in book 2 is a life-threat. 5/5 stars

-I read two John Green books: TFIOS and Looking For Alaska, both of which I adored. 5/5 stars each.

-Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs. ASFGHJKL I ADORED THIS BOOK! IT WAS EVERYTHING AND MORE THAT I COULD HAVE EVER WANTED FROM THE LAST BOOK IN THIS TRILOGY!!! I did a review for it here: http://lifeofamirkwoodelf.blogspot.ca/2016/01/library-of-souls-by-ransom-riggs-book.html

-In the Shadow of the Bear by Regina Doman. This is the first book in her Fairy Tale Retelling series. I liked this book, but I didn't love it. I actually got a signed copy of this book. 4 1/3 stars out of 5/5 stars.

-Black As Night by Regina Doman. I loved this book so much more than the first book. I got a signed copy of this book too. I did a spoiler free review for it here: http://lifeofamirkwoodelf.blogspot.ca/2016/01/black-as-night-by-regina-doman-spoiler.html
5/5 stars.

-I read the first three Harry Potter books...FINALLY. Needless to say I LOVED them. 5/5 stars for each.

-All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. I cannot express my love for this book. It was life-changing. I did a review for it here: http://lifeofamirkwoodelf.blogspot.ca/2016/01/all-bright-places-by-jennifer-niven.html
5/5 stars

-What We Saw by Aaron Hartzler. While I liked this book, I didn't love it. I do think it is an important book though, I hope lots of people will read it. 4/5 stars

-Crimson Bound by Rosamond Hodge. This was a pretty good high fantasy retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. I didn't love it, but I liked it. 3/5 stars.

-Mad Miss Mimic by Sarah Henstra. Again, this was a so-so book for me. It was interesting though, which is why I finished it. 3 stars.

-Things We Know By Heart by Jessi Kirby. I loved this book! It was so sweet. 4/5 stars.

-I read the first two books of A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. I am now foreseeing a love/hate relationship with this series. 4 stars.

-Need by Joelle Charbonneau. Honestly this book was disappointing. It was bad, but I didn't even like that much. 2/5 stars.

- Cruel Crown by Victoria Aveyard. This is the novella bind of Queen Song and Steel Scars. DANG THESE NOVELLAS WERE AMAZING!!!!!!! I did a review for it here: http://lifeofamirkwoodelf.blogspot.ca/2016/01/my-thoughts-and-feelings-on-cruel-crown.html
                                                                               5/5 stars
AND THOSE, DEAR CREAMPUFFS, WERE ALL THE BOOKS I READ. Here's to a happy reading month of February! Namarie!

Ren: The Girl With The Mark | My Two-cents On The Trailer

ASDFGJKL FINALLY. FINALLY! THE TRAILER FOR REN: THE GIRL WITH THE MARK DROPPED AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL!
So if you don't know what Ren is, it's a fantasy webshow created and directed by Kate Madison, who directed the LOTR fan film Born of Hope, which has over 32 million views. I highly suggest you watch Born of Hope, as it is such a fantastic film. Honestly. It's amazing. It's the story of Aragorn's parents, and Aragorn as a kid.

Anyway, I love webshows. Carmilla especially. I've been waiting for this show for such a long time! A whole year and a half, in fact. The release date kept getting pushed back, and back and now, we finally have a trailer and we have a date for the first episode: March 1, 8pm, GMT.

I suggest going over to the Mythica Entertainment channel to watch all the behind the scenes, because their amazing too. I cannot wait! Also if you are fan of Outlander, you will be seeing Sophie Skelton (who plays Ren) in season 2 as Jane's daughter.

MY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS
I loved the trailer. Something I really adore about this fantasy webshow is the locations they shot at. The locations are so beautiful and visually stunning, that it really feels like a whole other world.
The Mark on Ren is so cool that I actually wouldn't mind getting Marked by a spirit myself...or maybe not as it turns you into an outcast..BUT YOU GET MY POINT.
The stunt fighting is crazy awesome, and Ren especially kicks but.  For a smaller budget show, Ren: The Girl With The Mark looks very promising.
All in all, I'd rate the trailer for Ren 5/5 stars. ASDFGHJKL OMGS WHY IS MARCH SO FAR AWAY?!!!!!!!!!! ALSO ARE YOU NOW EXCITED FOR REN? PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO BE THE ONLY ONE EXCITED FOR IT. #fandomof1

MIDDLE-EARTH DOMINATION | Random Things 6

I haven't done a Random Things post since forever ago, and I know you creampuffs like them. So here's a random things post in which random things are discussed.

-If I had a theme song it'd be the theme song of Isengard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm3HZOuooIc&list=PLqLIiXXhwRbB9FhwsZpMoI6dMek1AKNlz&index=89

-I have a special way of making tea(black tea) and I'm going to tell you. But first you have to tell me where I can find the One Ring to Rule Them All. JK. So first you put the tea and whatever amount of milk you want in a mug. Then you boil the water. It's important for the tea to soak in the milk, which is why you do that BEFORE putting in the boiling water. When pouring the water, don't fill it all the way. Leave some space. After you've poured the water, then you steep your tea and etc. Then you pour some more milk in after you've taken the tea bag out. This makes the tea smooth and creamy. I swear by this method.

-Here's how I'm planning to take over Middle-earth. Read and learn, creampuffs.

      -STEP ONE.
Build a giant ugly fortress and fill it with thorns, and jagged pieces of rock, metal and what not. Then dig a moat around it and fill it with lava. This will be your home base.

     -STEP TWO.
Forge an all powerful Ring. Then eat the ring so that it's power will never be able to be separated from you like Sauron and his Ring were. Gosh I'm much smarter than Sauron, aren't I. Also make Ring indestructible by ANYTHING, including, but not limited to, axes, mountains of fire, oceans, Gollums, Bagginses, and anything else that can be considered a potential threat.

   -STEP THREE.
Recruit the orcs. All of them. Especially the Uruk-Hai. Invent a new kind of mountain troll that can't be killed. Basically make all armed forces immortal.

    -STEP FOUR.
Kill anything that tries to stop you. Cover the land in eternal darkness, and reign forever.

-DID YOU KNOW THAT THE HOBBITS ARE BEING TAKEN TO ISENGARD? I ONLY JUST REALIZED THIS.

-I'm planning to start an Etsy shop! I'll be starting off with selling small things: bookmarks, Harry Potter House badges, and stuff like that. It's still only an idea, but I hope to make it a reality!

-The reason why my blog has been changing it's look so much is because I'm still not happy with the way it looks, and I'm still experimenting with different looks for it. Any suggestions as to what could make it look nicer would be wonderful!

Anyway, that was random things. Namarie!

25 Bookish Facts About Me | TAG

Here are 25 bookish facts about me.

1) I try to buy hardback copies of books, and hardback only. The reason for this is I want my books to last me my whole life, and sadly, softcovers get destroyed within a year, despite the fact that I'm really careful with them.

2) I own 57 books( two of which have not arrived in the mail: Glass Sword and The Only Pirate At The Party) I will always be adding to this number.

3) I read LOTR at age ten. Which means all you adults who say you can't read them don't have an excuse.

4) I can read very fast. Like, really fast. For an instance: I read City of Bones and The Heir in one night. That is only a small example, however, of my reading powers. This is why my monthly reading wrap ups are so long.

5) My record for most-books-borrowed-from-library-in-one-session is currently 11. Help.

6) I am an easy person to please when it comes to books.

7) I hardly ever listen to audio books. This is something that needs to change.

8) I almost always need a snack or a cup of tea while reading. Don't ask me why.

9) I usually read at night.

10) I hate unhauling books.

11) I re-read books all the time.

12) The book I have re-read the most is The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien.

13) I am on book 11 of The Wheel of Time. *sighs* 4 more mammoth books to go including the prequel. Because this is such an emotional, exhausting series to read(I love it though) I will be continuing with book 11 in the summer.

14) I love when books have maps. Examples of books with amazing maps are: LOTR, The Wheel of Time, An Ember In The Ashes, Airborn and Red Queen(the map isn't inside the book, but that doesn't matter. It has a map)

15) I AM DROWING UNDER MY TBR.

16) I am always re-arranging my bookshelf. It's actually one of my favorite activities to do when I'm bored.

17) I'm really bad at taking notes for reviews...This is why my review for Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard never happened. Luckily I'm starting to get better at it.

18) My favorite genre of YA books is high fantasy or sci-fi.

19) I'm still trying to do that fan casting for the Wheel of Time. Any suggestions?!

20) The first book I remember reading when I was little was The Enchanted Wood by Enid Blyton. If you have never read any of her books, I highly suggest you do, because they are so fun.

21) I hoard books. That's why I don't do unhauls.

22) I have perfected the art of walking and reading at the same time.

23) I can do chores while reading.

24) I never used to be a book crier, until I read Allegiant. Since then I have sobbed my way through sad books.

25) My biggest dream and goal in life is to be an author.

SO THOSE WERE 25 BOOKISH FACTS ABOUT ME, I HOPED YOU ENJOYED IT.
