Ren: The Girl With The Mark | Episode 4

*LAUGHS MANICALLY* What were you expecting, an episode without a cliffhanger?!

This episode gave me so much emotional heart pain. Like, an overload of it. The acting was fantastic, the sets were amazing, and the music........CAN I HAVE A SOUNDTRACK ALREADY?! Or at least a theme song that I can buy off iTunes or something? PLEASEEEEEEE.
AHEM. Anyway, since this is the second to last episode, I can't really say anything else without spoiling anything. I give this episode an A++. GOOD BYE NON-SPOILERLY PEOPLE.

FIRST OF ALL, DAGRON IS AN IDIOT. A complete idiot. First he tells Ren to stay away from the Kah'Nath commander, causing a huge fuss. Then he betrays her, and basically sells her to the Commander. And then he feels bad?! Kinda late to regret it, isn't it.
BAYNON IS SO FREAKING AWESOME. ARGH. He really shone in this episode. I loved how he stole the keys, just like, "LOL I GOT THIS"
Even though Hunter swore by the Twins to save Ren, I kinda understand why he left. He doesn't even know this girl, and he's supposed to risk his life to save her? Pfft no way.
I can't wait for the next episode, because we're going to get to see Ren kick some butt. In the trailer, there was this moment where her eyes are glowing and she's got a bow, and she's firing at the Kah'Nath.
Also I can't wait for Season 2! I hope we get to see more of Ren's world, maybe other villages, more scenery, maybe even the capitol, and castles and stuff!
Anyway, those were my thoughts and feels on the 4 episode of Ren. WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK?! TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!

Wattpad Stories That I Adore

I love Wattpad. There are so many amazing stories just waiting to be read! There are also a lot of badly stories(One Direction fanfics, I'm looking at you.) But today I'm going to give you a list of my top 3 favorite Wattpad stories.

WARNING: ALL OF THESE STORIES HAVE NOT BEEN FINISHED YET. THESE STORIES WILL GIVE YOU ALL THE FEELS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

AHEM.
1) What Happens At SupaCon by @jenmariewilde. I am a huge fan of Jen's works, especially her Eva trilogy, which you should totally read. Jen has also just had a book published called Echo of the Witch, which is the first book in the Echo series. What Happens At SupaCon isn't finished yet, but it is so amazing!

Genre: Contemporary.
Excitement: About average for a contemporary.
Boring parts: none.
Romance: HECK YES.
Characters: All the characters are nerdy, and very relatable.
Rating: 5/5 stars. Also A++ for diversity!

2) The Dead Boy and the Paper Cut by @Paper_Fury. THIS STORY WILL RIP YOUR HEART OUT AND STOMP IT INTO A MILION PIECES. Which is booknerd code for 'YOU'LL BE ADDICTED'

Genre: Contemporary/Paranormal
Excitement: 100%
Boring parts: none.
Romance: There are hints of it here and there. Hopefully my OTP will be together by the end, but that doesn't seem very likely right now.
Characters: Moxie is a booknerd, so she is more than relatable.
Rating: 5/5 stars. Also A++ for diversity, because Moxie is deaf(which you basically never see in literature) and Thomas is a ghost. Also there's a coffee shop, and lots of cake, which basically means every person in the universe should read this story.

3) Writing Away The Clouds by @TheJennFind. Jenn Find is the fandom Queen. Her fanpage on G+ is fantastic, so go check that out. Her stories are even better. They are like John Green level fantastic. My favorite so far is definitely Writing Away The Clouds.

Genre: Contemporary
Excitement: It's not like fighting aliens type of excitement. It's more of a thoughtful, thought-provoking story. 100% for deep thoughts about life and death.
Boring parts: none.
Romance: not really any.
Characters: They are all so unique and amazing! ARGH.
Rating: 5/5 stars.

5 Reasons Why You Should Read The Wheel Of Time

I ADORE THE WHEEL OF TIME SERIES SO MUCH. *hugs it forever* And not without good reason. I also only know two person besides myself who's reading them, despite the fact that many of the WoT books are New York Times bestsellers. So to remedy this dreadful situation, I've decided to list 5 reasons why you should read WoT in the hopes that you actually WILL read them.
Also maybe they'll redo the gods-awful TV show pilot they did last year if lots of people read the books.
My post on the awful tv pilot that everybody hated
My review of A Crown of Swords(book seven)
My review of Winter's Heart(book nine)

1) This is the most important one. IT HAS AN EPIC MAP. JUST LOOK AT THAT MAP. IT'S BEAUTIFUL.

2) It's the Game of Thrones-in-between-seasons-and-books-replacement that you've been looking for! It's got 15 books(including the prequel) and it's as about as epic as you can get. SO MANY BAD GUYS. I haven't finished the series yet, and I have no idea how they are going to kill all the bad guys. All I know is, some main characters are probably going to die in the last book, because Robert Jordan has been holding back the tidal wave of character murders that most books have(I can only think of one really important character death.....I'M STILL MAD ABOUT IT.) Therefore the last book will probably be a bloodbath.

3) The characters are all so unique, and have so many layers to them, that they seem real. Even the good guys have bad sides to them. Everybody is scheming for more power, and everybody is always watching everybody else. (At least in Cairhien, Andor, Illian, Murandy, Tear, and Mayene, where they actually play the Game of Houses. Don't play that game, btw. You'll probably end up with a knife in your back from your back-stabbing frenemy.)
4) Brandon Sanderson finished the series. Why did he do that, Mironiel? you ask. Well Robert Jordan, the author, died before he could finish them. (HOW INCONSIDERATE) Luckily, he had written out everything that he wanted to happen in the finale, so everything's all canon and stuff. His wife searched around for an author to finish the series, and Brandon got the job. So basically if you are a Brandon Sanderson fan, you should read the WoT series.

5) It's so detailed and fantastic that it seems is real. The only fantasy that I can think of that can top WoT is Lord of the Rings.

So go and read them! Please. I'M BEGGING YOU. SOMEONE PLEASE READ THEM.

Ren: The Girl With The Mark | Episode 3 Review

What can I say, it's another cliffhanger.

This episode was good, but Episode 2 is still the best by far. I CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE ALREADY HALF-WAY THROUGH SEASON 1. Only two more episodes and season 1 is done.
I found Baynon's acting slightly emotionless, but otherwise, everything was great. There's not much I can discuss in the non-spoilery section, as this is episode three, so GOODBYE ALL NON-SPOILERY PEOPLE. I'd give this episode a B+, just because I didn't enjoy it as much as the last one. It was slightly slow, despite Hunter's fight scenes. OH AND I WANT A SOUNDTRACK.

Alright, so if Ren's father dislikes the Kah'Nath commander so much, why on earth did he go get the commander when he found out that Ren was marked?! THIS MAKES NO SENSE. Also, is Lyanna dead? I'm assuming she is, but there's always that chance that she isn't.
My favorite scene was the ending one, where she opens the door, and she sees the Kah'Nath commander, and her dad looks completely unapologetic, and she's just like WTF.
The scene where she split the necklace and gave the other half to Baynon was really sweet.

So yeah! Those were my thoughts and feels on the third episode of Ren: The Girl With The Mark. WHAT DID YOU ALL THINK?! TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS.

As Your Dark Queen, I Command You To Read These Glorious Books

I've decided that Dark Queen sounds better than Dark Lord. It sounds more royal and imperious and what not.
ALL SHALL LOVE ME AND DESPAIR

AHEM. Anyway, I've decided to throw these glorious books at your faces today because everybody needs to read them. And don't think you are exempt. You will thank me, but your TBR will not. However nobody cares what their TBR thinks, so ignore that last part. Who cares if they are about to fall down?! PILE ALL THE BOOKS ON HIGGLEDY PIGGLEDY.

GLORIOUS BOOKS IN:
10.
9.
7.
6.
5.
4.
3.
2.
1.

1) The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini because DRAGONS. Lots of dragons. The whole series is invaded by dragons. The whole premise of the series is dragons and their aptly names Dragon Riders, or just Riders. Also it has an epic map. And elves! and magic! and dwarves!! and weird fantasy creatures! and made up languages! Most importantly it has a witch named Angela who is literally the best character ever. The author based her off of his sister, which makes it even better. READ THEM. *HUCKS THEM AT YOUR ALREADY GROANING TBR*

ISN'T SAPHIRA GLORIOUS. Not as glorious as Smaug, but still glorious. I need to stop using that word. The movie sucked though. Saphira and Brom were the only things they did right.

2) The Raven King trilogy by Stephen R. Lawhead because it's ROBIN HOOD.
This is the historical fiction trilogy you have been looking for! It's a retelling of Robin Hood, set in Wales when the Normans were taking over. The first book is epic, but it's not the best, so you need to read the second one before you decide whether or not you want to continue. The third books...*is gasping like a fish out of water* It was so amazing, I can't recommend it enough. Plus those covers are gorgeous! *flails wildly, books flying everywhere, but mostly onto your TBR*

3) The Finishing School series by Gail Carriger because of the espionage side of things.
Like who wouldn't want to be able to kill things with bladed fans, poison and how to curtsey while throwing a knife at someone without anyone noticing?! Besides, the covers are gorgeous. *CAREFULLY PLACES BOOKS ONTO THE TOP OF THE PILE OF 1234567890 BOOKS YOU ALREADY HAVE*

4) The Adventure series by Enid Blyton, because four children go on insane adventures, plus there's an awesome parrot called Kiki.
JUST READ IT.  I mean the adventures are nice and all, but read it mainly for the sassy, awesome parrot. Also they eat tons of awesome food. So much food, that is described so wonderfully, it is advisable to eat food whilst reading these books, so you don't die from sudden hunger pains.
*LOOKS AT YOUR TBR. DECIDES IT CAN TAKE SEVEN MORE BOOKS*
*whispers as your TBR starts lean to the side* YOU WILL THANK ME. I PROMISE.
(oh and the first book is the Island of Adventure.)

5) The Eva trilogy by Jen Wilde, because ZOMBIES.
It's also set in Australia, which is a bonus for all you people who live there :D It has a kickass female protagonist, romance(which takes more of a back seat to the story, because getting a lovey dovey isn't as important as staying alive.) and lots and lots of zombies. There is a lot of gore and death, so people who are squeamish and don't like blood and stuff shouldn't read them. They are available as e-books only, or if you don't want buy them, you can read them on Wattpad. Although you might want to read the e-book versions, as they could be updated and stuff. I read them in literally a day, so if you are looking for something that's fast paced, and easy to read, you should read the Eva trilogy.

And that is all. Go forth and read, my creampuffs. I need someone to cry with.

Ren: The Girl With The Mark | Episode 2 Review

*SCREAMS* WORT CLIFF HANGER EVER.

Unless we're talking about the endings to the Mark of Athena and Glass Sword. Also........I NEED A SOUNDTRACK THAT I CAN BUY OFF ITUNES OR SOMETHING. Please?
This episode was so much better than the first one! And that's saying a lot, because the first episode was crazy awesome. The acting was amazing and basically everything that I said in my review of the last episode can be said here. I'll be moving into a spoiler section now, so if you havn't watch it, go watch it, come back and we can discuss it! I give this episode an A+. SO GOOD GUYS, SO GOOD.

So I really dislike Ren's father. Apparently he walked out on Ren and her brother, and as a bookworm, anyone who burns a book is evil. THAT FIGHT SEQUENCE THOUGH. That was like Lord of the Rings level fighting lol. I'm a little confused on one point though, did Lyanna die?
Now to count down my favorite scenes.
1) The fight sequence, obviously. It took up a good chunk of the episode, and was frankly a lot of fun to watch.
2) The part when Ren whacks a Kah'Nath soldier with a stick and then drops the stick like it was hot, because she was so horrified that she'd hit a Kah'Nath.
3) The ending when her eyes are glowing yellow. SH*T IS GOING DOWN, PEOPLE.

I know this review was kinda short, but I'm really tired and stuff, and I just wanted to get it up and posted. So yeah. TELL ME WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF REN EPISODE 2 IN THE COMMENTS!

Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception Review | Badass Faries + Evil Genius Pixie Villain + Artemis Fowl = PURE AMAZINGNESS

Pretty awesome photo, yeah? The concept was that Opal wrote the message on the sticky notes, and then took the picture, and then sent it to Artemis, Holly, Root and Foaly.

*Throws confetti into the air* *dances around*
GUYSSSSSS I DID IT. I FINALLY READ THE FOURTH BOOK IN THE ARTEMIS FOWL SERIES. And did you love it, Mironiel? you ask.
  *presses button that activates gifs*

                                                    What he said.
Anyway, this book was so amazing! The dialogue was sarcastic and funny as usual, the action even crazier than the last book, and the pacing was insane.
It's like Percy Jackson on crack.
If you haven't read the books yet, I highly suggest you do, as you will not regret it. I mean, who wouldn't want to read a book about an 11 year old criminal mastermind, sarcastic genius and badass fairies?!

FABULOUS LIST OF FAB THINGS IN THIS BOOK(possible spoilers.....)

-The fact that even though Artemis doesn't remember the fairies, when he finds out about them, he doesn't freak out. He's just like 'oh yeah. cool. ok.'

-The Brill brothers. OMGS lol this pair of pixie brothers are so stupid it's hilarious.

-Artemis's performance of a spoilt teenager. LOL BEST THING IN THIS SERIES YET.

-Opal's absolutely evil genius revenge plot. Like dang. That was a good plan.

-TROLLS. I LOVE HOW HORRIBLY, WEIRDLY COOL THE TROLLS ARE.

-Opal's ridiculous rules for the Brill brothers. "DON'T LOOK AT ME! IT'S BAD FOR MY SKIN!"

-Artemis's friendship with Holly. It grew and blossomed so much in this book! This may sound weird....but I ship it. I mean, he's 14 now...not 11. It's weird I know. BUT I SHIP IT.

LIST OF UN-FABULOUS THINGS IN THIS BOOK
- OK SO THERE'S THIS CHARACTER THAT EVERYBODY LOVES AND HE'S DEAD NOW WHY IS HE DEAD? HOW DARE HE EVEN THINK TO DIE WITHOUT CONSULTING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *GLARES*

LOL this gif has a pun on the character's name in it. See if you can spot it.

I gave this book a 5/5 stars because it definitely deserved it.

HAVE YOU READ ARTEMIS FOWL? IF NOT ARE YOU GOING TO READ THEM NOW? TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS!

2) I have never read or watched Twilight(and never will......I think)
3) My favorite song atm is Monsters by Ruelle from the Shadowhunters TV show
4) 2005's movie Skyhigh is my guilty pleasure film. I know it's a silly film, but I love it to bits.
5) I'm an Divergent, elven Shadowhunter, who participated in the 75 annual Hunger Games and then was sent to the Maze.
6) I read to fast for my own good. To many feel attacks are not good for the heart.
7) I write lots of stories.
8) I have trouble finishing said stories.
10) I have not been taken on an adventure by Gandalf yet. This needs to change.

11) I drink on average, about 10 cups of Orange Pekoe tea a day. And that's not counting the other kinds of tea I'll drink too. NO REGRETS.

Eleven Questions
1) What’s your favourite book genre, your favourite author, and why?
I love all genres of books! But my especial love is fantasy. My favorite author is J.R.R Tolkien(obviously) and he's my favorite because OBVIOUSLY he has to be.

2) Why did you start blogging?
I actually don't remember why I started. 0_o
3) Do you know the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)? If you don’t know it, whatever, go search it up and find out: what type are you?
I don't have time to do that.........
4) What’s your favourite writing research topic? (e.g. weaponry, clothing, plants, medicine, architecture)
I love researching cosplays. There's something about staring at other people's creations enviously that I like.
5) What are the last five emotions you felt?
Sleepiness, happiness, irritation, sleepiness and sleepiness.

6) What’s the last movie you watched?
It actually wasn't a movie. It was the first episode of Ren!
My review of the first episode
7) Do you listen to music when you write?
YES. I can't write without music. I create playlists for everything I write.
My post on writing with music
8) Are you going to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo (April and/or July)?
I find the whole thought of even trying NaNoWriMo stressful. So no, I won't be.
9) Would you rather be forced to watch all the Twilight movies once a month for a year or be unable to watch your favourite movie(s) for three years?
HAHAH funny this should come up, after just mentioning how I'll probably never watch them or read them. I would rather watch the Twilight movies once a month, because why in the Tardis would I basically ground myself from my favorite movies?!!!!!!!!!!!
 10) Would you rather play Truth or Dare, or Two Truths and a Lie?
Truth or Dare. It's more Dauntless(because I'll always pick the Dare) and I belong to the Dauntless faction,  and Two Truths and a lie is a game that the Candor would play. I am NOT Candor.

11) Who are your top ten ultimate favourite characters in the history of ever?
*dies* This is like trying to get me to pick my favorite child. I can't.... But I will list  some random characters that I love.

Tauriel
Percy Jackson
Hermione Granger
Katniss Everdeen
Magnus Bane
Jace Wayland/Herondale/Morgenstern/Lightwood
Four
Carmilla Karnstien
Minho
Newt

I have like fifter billion characters I love. That was only ten. Shall I continue?
*gets interrupted by the universe screaming 'STOP HER!*
Fine.

Ren: The Girl With The Mark | Episode 1 Review

Let me explain my feelings for this show with some gifs:

So Ren: The Girl With The Mark premiered yesterday, and OH.MY.GODS. was it ever good! I was so excited for this show, and was rather nervous about whether or not it would live up to my expectations. I needn’t have worried, because it was every bit as good as I had hoped, and more. If you haven’t heard of Ren before, and are looking for new high fantasy show to be addicted to, then Ren is for you.

The acting was on point, and the scenery and visual effects were amazing, as good as any high budget film you’d pay to see in a cinema. Ren is almost like a Katniss sort of figure, in the way that she is looking out for her family, hunts and trades and stuff. She's very strong and able to look after herself, which I love, but she's not a Mary-Sue character. The character that stood out to me the most, was the Commander. He had barely a minute on screen,  and didn't say much, but he had such a presence. He was creepy, and scary, and you could tell just by looking at his face that he was not a nice man. I really want to know what his connection to Ren's father is and how he knows him.
Karn is another character who stood out to me.
Another thing that I really liked was how confidant the actors were. In a lot of TV shows(I'm going to call Ren a TV show, it's easier, and plus, it is a TV show, just on the internet not a TV) the actors take a few episodes to really settle into their characters. They are rather unsure, and this makes the episodes cheesy and fake. All the actors in Ren, however, were absolutely sure of themselves, and the characters they were playing. I really appreciated that, because it made the characters seem like real people, not some actor play-acting those people. Did that make sense? I hope it did, cause I'm not sure how to describe it any other way lol.
I'd give this episode a A. My only problem with it was that it was only 11:00 minutes! And it ended on a cliff-hanger! And we have to wait until next Tuesday for the next episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KATE WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO US!
In the meantime I'm going to be re-watching this episode 100 times.  I will be going into a spoiler section now, so if you haven't watched it yet, go watch it, and then come back XD

OK. So my favorite scene was the one from 1:02 to 2:18, where Ren is drawing the stag, and then she has a little archery lesson with Karn, and she shoots some fish. The whole scene was really magical. The landscape was amazing, so beautiful, kinda like something out of Middle-earth! This, pared with the music and the wonderful acting, made it the best scene out of the whole episode.
I wonder if we'll get a soundtrack? I hope so!
The other scene that really stood out, was, of course the scene from 9:13 to 10:09 where Ren runs into the Commander, and gets knocked over. It was really foreboding, and the actors and the music really captured that.

SO! WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE FIRST EPISODE OF REN? TELL ME BELOW, SO WE CAN FANGIRL TOGETHER.
